Our role
When we decide why and how personal data is processed to operate our website, manage accounts, provide support, secure the Services, and administer subscriptions, Meco is the data controller.
In some circumstances, a customer may use the Services to process information under its instructions. In that situation, Meco may act as a data processor and the customer remains responsible for determining the purposes and means of that processing.

- Account and identity information, such as your name, email address, organisation, role, and authentication or verification records.
- Subscription and transaction information, such as plan, billing status, invoices, and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers. Stripe handles payment card details on our behalf.
- Service and device information, such as IP address, browser, device, log, diagnostic, and security information.
- Usage information, such as pages, features, searches, settings, and interactions with the Services.
- Information you provide when contacting us, requesting support, or submitting a data request.
- Workspace information and other content you choose to provide through the Services.
Some information is required to create an account, process a subscription, or provide a requested feature. If you do not provide it, we may not be able to provide the relevant Service.
How we collect information
We collect information when you create or use an account, subscribe to a plan, use platform features, contact us, respond to communications, or otherwise interact with the Services.
We also collect certain technical and usage information automatically through logs, cookies, and similar technologies. We may receive limited billing and transaction information from Stripe and email delivery information from Brevo.
How we use information
We use personal data only for specified, explicit, and legitimate purposes, including to:
- Create and administer accounts, workspaces, subscriptions, and access permissions.
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services and their features.
- Process payments, manage billing, and prevent fraud or abuse.

- Send transactional messages, verification emails, service notices, and support communications.
- Protect the security, integrity, and availability of the Services and investigate misuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Depending on the circumstances, our legal bases include performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests, and consent where consent is required.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use personal data for incompatible purposes without an appropriate legal basis or notice.
Who receives information
We carefully select service providers that process personal data on our behalf. Current providers include:
- Stripe: payment processing, billing, subscriptions, invoices, and fraud prevention.
- Mixpanel: product usage analytics and service improvement.
- Brevo: transactional email delivery and account communications.
We may also disclose information to professional advisers, legal or regulatory authorities, or other recipients where required by law, lawful process, or a legitimate business transaction. We do not disclose more information than is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.
International transfers
Some providers may process personal data in countries outside the country where you live, including outside the UK or European Economic Area. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as an adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Retention

Children's privacy
